Snyder Makes Appointments, Reappointment to MSHDA Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder Friday announced the appointments of Carl English, of Bingham Farms, and Deborah Muchmore, of Laingsburg, and the reappointment of Tyrone Hamilton, of Belleville, to the Michigan State Housing Development Authority Board.

The five-member board provides financial and technical assistance through public and private partnerships to create and preserve safe, affordable housing. It also engages community economic development activities, addresses homeless issues and develops vibrant cities, towns and villages. With the exception of the resident member not more than two of the persons appointed can be from the same political party.

“I appreciate these individuals’ willingness to serve on this important board,” Snyder said. “They are extremely qualified and will play an integral part in the continued growth of our communities.”

Members serve four-year terms expiring March 10, 2018, and their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
