LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder announced the reappointments of Tony Blattner of Lowell and Arthur Lister, Jr. of Ludington, to the Michigan Apple Committee.
The committee’s seven members develop and implement marketing programs and educational activities on behalf of more than 900 family apple growers in the state.
“Agriculture is a vital part of Michigan’s economy and our heritage,” Snyder said. “I am pleased to appoint Tony and Arthur to this important committee and look forward to their work of promoting Michigan’s apple industry.”
Appointees will serve three-year terms expiring April 1, 2019. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
