LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder announced the appointments of Ronald Campbell of Flint, Jason Turkish of Southfield, Greg Pollock of Midland, Chris MacKay of Petoskey, and the reappointment of Aaron Besmer of Caledonia, to the Michigan Barrier Free Design Board.
The nine-member board assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with reviewing and processing requests for exceptions to the barrier-free design specifications. It also makes recommendations for barrier-free design rules.
“I appreciate these members’ willingness to serve and I am confident they will represent Michiganders well in this role,” Snyder said.
Campbell, Turkish, and Pollock will serve the remainder of three-year terms expiring Oct. 31, 2017. MacKay and Besmer will serve three-year terms expiring Oct. 31, 2018. Member appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.
