Gov. Rick Snyder Makes Reappointments to the Advisory Board for the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center for Homeland Security

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder announced the reappointments of Timothy Bourgeois of Parchment and Richard Fenton of Ann Arbor to the advisory board for the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center (MIOC) for Homeland Security.

The 11-member advisory board makes recommendations regarding the MIOC’s privacy policy and management policies and procedures. The MIOC collects, evaluates, organizes and analyzes information and intelligence, passing it along to the proper public safety agencies to identify and address safety and security threats to the state.

“I thank Timothy and Richard for their service and the many years of professional experience they bring to this important board,” Snyder said. “I look forward to their ongoing efforts to help protect all Michiganders.”

Appointees will serve four-year terms expiring April 11, 2020. Appointments are not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
