LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Victoria Enyart, of Jackson, to the Michigan Tax Tribunal.

The seven-member tribunal is an administrative court that hears appeals on several categories of Michigan taxes, including local property tax issues as well as appeals on business and individual tax disputes.

“Victoria brings extensive experience to the tribunal and I am confident she will continue to serve Michigan taxpayers with fairness and integrity,” said Snyder.

Enyart has served as a tax tribunal member since 2008 and is a certified appraiser and master assessor. Previously, she worked with JohnBernard LLC as a property tax advisor for small and large businesses, including Ford Motor Co., as an equalization director for Jackson County and as a city assessor for the cities of Mt. Pleasant and Albion. Enyart is a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers and past president of the Michigan Assessors Association. She holds an assessors certification from Lansing Community College and will continue to represent certified level IV assessors.

Enyart will serve a four-year term that expires June 30, 2016, and her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate
