LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointments of Kelly Shipman, of Mt. Pleasant, and Jeremiah Hernandez, of East Lansing, to the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan.
The 15-member commission works to develop a unified policy and plan of action to serve the needs of Michigan’s Hispanic and Latino residents.
“This is an important commission for the future of our state and I am confident Kelly and Jeremiah will serve in their positions well,” Snyder said.
Appointments to the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
