March of Dimes Michigan Chapter Names Kelly Lemon-Samborski State Director

Southfield, MI – The March of Dimes, working together for stronger, healthier babies, has named Kelly Lemon-Samborski State Director of the Michigan Chapter. In this role, Lemon-Samborski will manage a chapter staff in eight (8) offices across the state of Michigan and coordinate with volunteers statewide to lead strategic fund development to support research, education, community programs and advocacy to help moms have healthier babies and full-term pregnancies.

“The board of directors is so pleased that Kelly has accepted the position as Michigan’s March of Dimes State Director”, said Elliot Forsyth, Chairman of the March of Dimes Michigan Chapter Board of Directors. “Kelly excelled in her previous position and I am confident that her dedication, tireless energy and passion for our mission and all families in Michigan will lead the Chapter to continued success.”

Prior to stepping into her new role at the March of Dimes, Lemon-Samborski held the position of Regional Vice President for the American Heart and Stroke Association. Previously she served as a Corporate Event Director with the American Heart Association. She has worked and managed staff in multiple markets in Michigan. She has extensive experience in fundraising, securing and recommitting major sponsors and developing key leadership roles with event chairs, volunteers and board members. For more than 15 years Kelly held leadership positions in the retail industry. / She is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
