Lansing, Michigan – The Michigan State Waterways Commission (MSWC) will hold its regular meeting on Friday, March 22, at the Country Inn & Suites Superior Conference Room, located at 6511 Centurion Drive in Lansing.
The public meeting begins at 9 a.m. and will focus on updates related to the 2013 Emergency Dredging Plan, including funding, permitting, grants and collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The Michigan State Waterways Commission is an advisory group, created by Public Act 451 of 1994, Part 781, toaddress issues concerning public boating opportunities in the State of Michigan, including the acquisition, construction and maintenance of recreational harbors, channels, docking and launching facilities, administration of commercial docks in the Straits of Mackinac, and to advise on regulations and grant funding for the Great Lakes Harbors of Refuge.
