LANSING — Americans for Prosperity-Michigan is launching radio and television ads across Michigan’s first congressional district, thanking Rep. Dan Benishek for fighting ObamaCare.
The television ad can be seen here and will run in northern Michigan on broadcast and cable for three weeks.
“Americans for Prosperity has consistently held lawmakers at the state and federal levels accountable for their role in the ObamaCare debacle,” said AFP-Michigan State Director Scott Hagerstrom. “But true accountability doesn’t just mean criticizing those who have supported this law; it also means thanking responsible public servants like Congressman Benishek for putting Michigan first. He understands this law is wreaking havoc on the economy, forcing reduced hours on many in our work force, and failing to deliver on the administration’s promises. Higher premiums, canceled plans and fewer health care choices are the reality of ObamaCare.”
AFP-Michigan has been highlighting the problems with ObamaCare for years. In August, the group ran radio ads holding state legislators accountable for supporting the ObamaCare Medicaid expansion.
Americans for Prosperity has consistently opposed the law since its inception. Hundred of thousands of the group’s activists have already signed the Exempt Me, Too! petition at justexempt.me, asking for the same special treatment provided to Big Business, Congress and the well-connected.
