Lansing, Michigan – November 10, 2015 – As Michigan celebrates Veterans Month and the more than 660,000 veterans who served, new statewide radio and digital ads highlight how one simple call can connect them with federal, state and local benefits they’ve earned.
The ads are part of a comprehensive advertising campaign launching Nov. 11 to coincide with Veterans Day and introduce the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency’s new theme: One call. One agency. 24/7 veteran resources.
The radio ads invite those who have worn the uniform to connect with MVAA to ask any questions about veteran benefits they have or resolve any barriers they face. With just one call to 800-MICH-VET (800-642-4838), veterans and their families can access thousands of resources around the clock.
“For the past two years, MVAA has relied on collaborations and partnerships to spread the word about our agency and the resources available through it,” MVAA Director Jeff Barnes said. “These ads will help us reach even more veterans quickly and let them know that assistance is just a phone call away. Whether they are seeking answers to benefits questions, need a copy of their DD-214 or are facing financial emergencies, Michigan veterans can find these resources and more by dialing 800-MICH-VET.”
The advertising campaign will begin on statewide radio and will be supplemented by digital and outdoor advertising.
“Now more than ever, MVAA wants to ensure Michigan’s veterans know their service is appreciated and that our agency is here to support them in every chapter of their lives,” Barnes said.
