Casperson Speaks about Bringing Northern Michigan Values to Washington, D.C. – Nov. 11

Manistee, Michigan – November 11, 2015 – Tom Casperson spoke with more than 5,000 northern Michigan residents on Monday evening about bringing their values to our nation’s Capital. After announcing during the day his decision to run for the U.S. House of Representatives at stops in Escanaba and Traverse City, Casperson hosted two tele-town halls where he was able to connect with more than 5,400 1st District voters about their concerns.

“It was a real privilege to hear from so many people yesterday,” said Casperson. “Time after time they told me about how disconnected Washington, D.C. seems from Northern Michigan values and common sense. That’s why I’m running for Congress—because it’s time we make Washington listen.”

Casperson met with voters this morning in Manistee and will host a Small Business Roundtable this evening in Gaylord. He will make nearly a dozen additional stops this week to meet with voters across the 1st District.

Casperson is running to replace Congressman Dan Benishek, who in September announced his plans to retire.
