Marquette – Messiah Lutheran Church in Marquette is hosting its monthly community meal. on Wednesday, March 3 at 6:00 p.m.

Hancock – A Side of Portage, a free lunchtime series featuring topics of general interest in the health and wellness field, will be held on Wednesday, March 3 from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. at Portage Health Conference Center in Hancock.

Lunch will not be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own. Learn about A Side of Portage that you may not know. The March topic is the Tree House project, an indoor playground for children.

Eben Junction – An amateur radio technician class for all ages will be offered from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning Wednesday, March 3 at Superior Central School in Eben Junction.

Seney – The Seney National Wildlife Refuge, in cooperation with Seney Natural History Association, will continue their Winter Film Festival with “Nourish: Food Plus Community” and “Garbage: The Revolution Starts at Home” on Tuesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. in the Visitor Center Auditorium at the Refuge.

The shows are open to the public and free of charge. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided. The Seney National Wildlife Refuge is located at 1674 Refuge Entrance Road in Seney.

Marquette – In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Readers Theater goers will read “Stones In His Pockets” by Marie Jones on Tuesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.

Peter White Public Library Readers Theater is a group of adults, who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet on the first Tuesday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New members are always welcome.
